Hunter Regional Cricket Trials – Boys

Nominations to trial

• This is a selection trial for students wishing to be selected to represent the Hunter at the NSWPSSA Boys Cricket Championships. Players should only trial if they are willing to travel and compete at the championships – for information refer to NSWPSSA web page. To locate the event page select either find events or view calendar and use the filter tool to refine your search.
• Zones may send a maximum of their 6 best players to attend the Hunter region trial. These players are selected at zone trials.
• Zone secretaries, please complete the zone nomination form (DOCX 64KB) and return it 2 weeks prior to the trial date to the Hunter convener – refer to contacts heading below.
• Zone team managers – please collect your team’s individual signed zone consent forms, bring them to the trial and keep them for your records. Students can obtain the zone consent form from their school sports coordinator.
• Zone team managers – please submit each player’s levy to the Hunter convener at the trial.

Format of trial

• All players participate in net sessions, with culling at lunch for more intensive selection process.
• Assessment of wicket keepers.
• Fielding session if time permits.

Students attending the trial

• Please bring your own gear if possible. A kit will also be available.
• Supervision will be available until the trial concludes. The group will be reduced at 1pm and boys no longer required may leave at this time.
• All players must submit their signed zone consent form and trial levy to their zone team manager on arrival at the trial. Students can obtain the zone consent form from their school sports coordinator.
• Students will not be allowed to participate unless the zone consent form is submitted.
• Any postponement will be announced on this website and the Hunter SSA Facebook page.
• All players and spectators must abide by the Hunter SSA code of conduct located on the Hunter applications and forms page.
