π Getting There
Parking is available at the venue. Students should sign in and out with their school Sports Coordinator at their schoolβs designated area in the stands (look for the school banner where possible).
π½ What to Bring
Students should wear comfortable shorts/tights, with school singlets provided on the day. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water bottle, food/lunch (canteen available).
πββοΈ Qualification for Zone Athletics
Students qualify through their school carnival. The first three placegetters in the 100m sprint and the first two placegetters in the 200m sprint progress to Zone. In the 800m, and 1500m events, the first two placegetters qualify, provided they meet the qualifying time. In field events (discus, shot put, high jump, and long jump), the first two placegetters qualify, provided they meet the required qualifying distances or heights. Please see zone qualifying standards below.

Students attend as representatives of their school and are supervised by their school teacher – please refer to the Code of Conduct for student behaviour expectations. Parents are welcome to attend – please refer to the Code of Conduct for parent behaviour expectations.
β Wet Weather
Updates or postponements will be posted on the Newcastle City Zone PSSA Facebook page on the morning of the event. If no update is posted, the event is proceeding.
π©Ί Safety
First aid will be available on site. Schools are responsible for managing student medications, with teachers carrying necessary medications and basic first aid kits.
π£ After the Event
Results will be communicated to school sports coordinators after the event.
π₯ Hunter Regional Athletics
